FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Evans's classroom raised $552
This project is fully funded
The school were I teach has a high population of military students. My third grade students have a difficult time focusing on school when one or both parents are deployed. As their teacher I try to find ways to make learning fun and assist them with refocusing their minds on learning, making good grades, and not worrying about their parents being deployed.
These students want to make their parents proud by being a good student, but it becomes very difficult for them to focus on school when they know they parents may be hurt or even killed. Having these items will help them have fun in reaching their fullest potential and in the process making them refocus on learning instead of their parents' deployment.
Due to the diversity of students in my classroom, I have selected reading and language resources that can be used as tools in stations or seat work to help reinforce the skill(s) being taught in the classroom. I want to teach my students various strategies that they can use in order to be successful individuals.
Your help will ensure that my students have a place where they are able to focus on their education instead of the deployment of their parent(s). You will actually make it possible for someone's child be successful and enjoying learning while they are serving our country.
