This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Recently, our school on the South Side of Chicago has welcomed migrants and newcomers from Spanish-speaking countries, and need your help by providing a few books that are of interest to them for reading to self-time. Help us provide books that vary in genre so that these students can continue loving literature in their own language while learning English too. These books will be shared among a couple of teachers so that students can use them at their leisure or quiet reading time during the day. A child should always be able to access a great book in any language. Please help us provide that to them. Much appreciated!
