My students need software with which to create music. ACID Music Studio allows users to create music using pre-recorded sounds and phrases, and put together coherent and professional sounding music.

I teach music in a Fine Arts Option middle school for a very enthusiastic group of young students in a high need, low income area, who have a strong interest in music and musical activities.
My students love to play, listen to, and talk about music, but have very little opportunity to go through the actual process of creation on their own.
I need software which will allow students to create coherent musical compositions on their own. The process of creation helps to create knowledge of self, and also to foster self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment.
You will make it possible for my students to create music with near professional results, to learn about the process of creation, to analyze their own creative and productive process, and to learn how to persevere with and follow through on projects with multiple steps.
