Middle School Montessori Mindfulness

Help me give my students a calming environment in a middle school Montessori classroom. Many of our students deal with a considerable amount of trauma. These materials will help to foster a Zen-like atmosphere to maximize learning.

My Project

These items will help students who are struggling with trauma induced anxiety, anger, and social emotional deficits. These tools will create an atmosphere that fosters a calm environment to promote focus and learning. It will also facilitate additional coping strategies and mindfulness throughout their day. My goal is to create a calm and warm environment for all students.

We are in a continuous process of making our program implement more Montessori components in our upper grades.

This is for an English Language Arts class for grades 6th, 7th, and 8th.
