Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Since my school is Pre-K to 8th grade, I have such a wide range of ages (3 up to 15!) that it can be very difficult to organize my classroom into an environment that is appropriate for all ages. Much of the time it means the older kids have to share the same materials the younger kids use. What I really want to start organizing are materials that are more specific geared toward my Middle School students.
Now that I have been at my school for 6 years, I am extremely fortunate to have some very talented art students at the Middle School level that I have gotten to watch grow, not only as artists, but also as people!
I want to continue cultivating their abilities and helping them grow and learn by providing them with tools that are more appropriate for their ages, starting with scissors and mechanical pencils! Your donations will help me purchase enough for the Middle Schoolers to share.
