My Students

I teach an extremely diverse group of middle school students. Their life challenges, perseverance, and amazing ability to make me laugh through tricky classroom scenarios absolutely​ set this group apart.

I feel blessed to work with this awe-inspiring group of learners.

They have a deep seated desire to beat the odds and succeed. They are driven, competitive, spirited, and delightfully funny.

My students meet their challenges in incredible ways. They take the work presented to them and amaze me with their creativity and passion to change the trajectory of their lives. I couldn't be more proud to be their science teacher.

My Project

My diverse group of inner-city middle school learners need some help with our waves unit! Learning about sound, light, and radio waves really only makes sense when it's put to use.

Please help us make WAVES with fun and practical manipulatives that will help them gain a better understanding of the world.

The blood pressure kits will help us learn digital and analog signals. They will be able to see and feel sound with the amplifier and decibel meter. The prisms will allow them to create rainbows and understand the light spectrum.

We are in dire need of engaging classroom activities that allow our students to have real-life experiences with science. I would truly appreciate your support for this project!
