Middle School Kids Need Computer Mice for Standardized MAP Testing!

Help me give my students the computer mice they need to easily complete the complex, technology-enhanced items on our monthly and annual standardized tests!

My Students

Needless to say, this testing is nearly impossible to complete successfully without the aid of computer mice. If we had these computer mice, students would not get frustrated when they encounter these technology-enhanced questions. Frustration usually results in giving up, which would be detrimental to our academic data this year. And our data is more important than ever, because we are up for our charter renewal this year!

One might think that mice would be important to include in the school budget.

However, we're a charter school. Charter schools in Missouri receive $1,200 less in funding per student per year than non-charter schools.

Please consider funding part of this project to ensure our kiddos have equitable opportunities to show the state what they can do! Thank you in advance!

My Project

Greetings! Standardized, high-stakes testing has become significantly more technology-enhanced than it did when most of us were in school. Students are now being expected to drag-and-drop, create graphs and scatter plots, manipulate various calculator functions, use formula sheets, and a lot more. Could you imagine doing this with a standard touchpad and NOT a mouse? Basically impossible!

This project is simple: We need computer mice so students can effectively use the technology-enhanced items on our monthly standardized tests as well as on the end-of-year, high stakes MAP test!

If kids are unable to use the software successfully, they are likely to get frustrated and give up. Your generous donation will give them the mice they need to stay confident and easily use the technology-enhanced items.

One might think that something as important as computer mice should be in our regular budget. However, Missouri charter schools receive $1,200 less per student each year than non-charter schools. Your donation is helping us to bridge that gap so that our students will have an equitable opportunity to excel academically. Thank you so much!
