My Project

Middle school students often struggle to find coping skills to combat stress. Another challenge for middle school students is finding ways to connect with trusted adults at school. The materials for this project would serve to support several students in a diamond painting club. The club would teach students how to diamond paint.

The club would allow middle school students to foster connections through connecting conversations with students who share a common interest with them, and with caring adults who also share the love of this craft.

Finding a connection and coping skill is linked to being a protective factor for students. It helps students stay engaged in school and helps students feel like they belong.
