My Students

Here at our school, we have some of the most ambitious and aspiring students, teachers, staff, and community. We are looking to continue to prepare everyone for 21st-century learning during this time of distance learning.

Our students are thinkers, leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers, and we bring these communities of learners together through the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program.

Every student is a contributor to their success, and we will work to help students find their passion, their voice, and their joy for learning!

My Project

With the explosion of social media out there, more and more students are choosing not to read to be entertained. They are choosing to watch short clips and spend countless hours on their phones and other devices.

It's important to have books that are relatable to students and that they are interested in reading.

Some of the different books will be used for small groups, for new choices in the library, and to be given away to students.

Every reader knows the joy that comes from reading a book they truly love. It’s an indescribable mix of curiosity, excitement, and fascination at how a writer is able to both educate and entertain. I am loving that our students find a book they truly love from these choices.
