This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school classroom is in need of a diverse selection of books that reflect the rich and varied experiences of Black authors and characters. By introducing literature that represents different perspectives, we aim to foster a more inclusive and culturally aware learning environment.

These books will not only enhance our students' reading skills but also contribute to their understanding of the world around them.

By diversifying our classroom library, we aim to promote cultural awareness, celebrate diversity, and create a more inclusive learning environment. These books will serve as windows and mirrors, allowing students to see themselves reflected in literature and providing insights into the lives of others.
