Mid Year Supplies Struggle

Help me give my students many needed supplies in order to finish the school year with all we need to be successful in reading and writing.

My Students

This year I am blessed to teach 72 amazing 5th-grade students at a rural school in Southern Mississippi. Together we are taking a journey through 5th grade ELA. My classes are energetic and buzzing with excitement anytime they are given a chance to achieve great goals. Despite a wide range of abilities and challenges, my students are working hard to crush their personal and growth goals this school year.

Our class theme this year, "Wonderland", perfectly captures the wonder and curiosity of the epic journey that my students and I will embark on this year as we dive into mastering reading and writing skills and strategies.

Each day I watch them blossom through their reading and writing, while we grow together as a strong class family. Help me, help them fall in love with learning this year. These children deserve the world, and it is my goal as their teacher to give them the best possible experience in school while we work to create memories that will last a lifetime!

My Project

This project will help my students and me immensely to finish off the second half of the school year strong. Many students don't have the supplies they need on a daily basis, like pencils and erasers. The supplies from this project would directly help me to ensure all of my students have what they need to be prepared for class.

Many of our students' families can't afford to buy extra supplies mid-year, so the funding of this project would help ease the burden on our parents, students, and teachers as we finish the year and prepare for the end of year testing.
