My Students
My students are between the ages of 6 and 7. Though they are young, they act beyond their ages and seem to have missed out on the experiences a young child should have. I can tell that my students wish to just be kids and use their imagination. The students in my class and school are from a poor urban community that is exposed to violence and situations young children should not experience. Our school tries to provide our students with a positive and loving community for their learning experiences. Not only are my students getting an education, they are also learning how to be positive people in the world.
My Project
Since it is mid-way through the school year, our classroom supplies need a refresh! New chart paper, magnets, and Expo markers are just a few things we use daily that need to be refreshed! My students constantly are using the wipe boards; during group instruction, independent practice, partner work, and more. Due to this, our markers run our very often. Therefore a fresh new pack of these Expo markers would be greatly appreciated!
Newly laminated sight words, match game cards, reusable worksheets, and student work are a few other things we need to freshen up our classroom at this point in the year!
I have many flashcard games for my students that they love to play but many of them are over used and need to be thrown out. I would love to print new ones and laminate them so they can last for a long time!
