This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn daily despite the fact that most of them come to school with little or no school supplies. I focus on providing a fun and creative learning environment. My students are regular education and English as a Second Language Learners. Most of my students live in single parent homes.

I teach at a Title I school where 100 percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.

Many of our families, in our school community, were impacted by the experience of Hurricane Harvey. The devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey was horrible. Most can only imagine the impact this storm had on our district area. I know I cannot change the struggles they face at home, but I can make sure their lives at school are positive, exciting, and rewarding.

My Project

Having The Microsoft Surface Go in our classroom will allow us to use technology to enhance our learning. My students can download different apps to enhance their Reading, Writing and Math skills. My Students can use different apps and Surface Pen to develop their writing skills. Using the pen will allow my students to access writing apps and practice writing the word and sounds while building great fine motor skills to develop their academic skills. My students can use the pen to draw pictures and can write Math equations. The Go Type Cover, will allow us to use the device as a tablet or a PC, where my students can actually type. The keyboard will allow our little fingers access to typing on the Surface. The touchscreen will allow us to use hands on learning activities just like using a smart board.

Our learning will touch more than the Surface now.

My students will have access to many apps while learning different learning skills. We can work individually or in small groups to develop our Reading, Writing and Math skills while using an interactive Microsoft Surface Go and accessories.
