Microsoft Surface Go - Complete Performance at 1/2 the Cost!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 25 of the most amazing 4th graders who are a perfect mixture of general education, special education, and ELL students. One thing that makes our school unique is that we are a universal poverty school, so all students are entitled to free meals. We have breakfast in the class, lunch, and many students stay after school so they can have dinner as well. We are in a very rough neighborhood, but my kiddos don't give up!
Unfortunately, many of our students are below grade level by more than one grade level.
This is because they have to be grown ups after school, not kids. They have to take care of little brothers and sisters while their parents work multiple jobs. They don't have the time to be kids and just study. I don't like to make excuses, but literally, life often gets in their way.
My Project
Microsoft has generously sponsored all projects that involve their amazingly portable and productive Microsoft Surface Go. This type of technology is state of the art, 21st century hardware, built to be classroom strong and accessible.
I would love to be able to do STEAM projects that involve science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.
The classroom notebooks we have are limited in processing ability and functionality. They are basically for word processing and doing research. Our kids need more. They deserve more.
With a Surface Go, our students would have that leg up to do more and learn more. The only way to compete equally with by learning and using the same products as those you are competing with. I want more for my students. Microsoft does too. They are matching donations toward this project. Wont you help my students learn, grow, and compete!
