This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. - Dr. Seuss
My students come from a very low socioeconomic background and do not have the access to technology.
Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch. We have the highest rate of ELL (English language learners) in the state and a high number of special education students.
My Project
My students need a Microsoft Surface Pro to help with research in the classroom. The students truly enjoy researching topics and learning new information. Unfortunately, we do not have the technology/access to technology to always allow this. Having a Surface Pro in the classroom will allow students to not only research topics but look up unknown words and have enrichment activities. The Microsoft Pro will also be used for students to publish writing pieces.
A Microsoft Surface Pro in the classroom will allow for students to take their learning and curiosity to the next level.
The students can look up answers to their questions and become published authors.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
