Microscopy Upgrade for PHS!

Help me give my students newer and more advanced microscopes that many PHS students will access through our science curriculum in multiple capacities from year to year. Our current inventory is obsolete, old, and/or broken.

My Project

Students at PHS have a minimum requirement to complete years of science, and I mentioned above that the number of students that will benefit from this project is 1000, but in actuality, it is a lot more(year to year to year....).

I am looking to upgrade away from our current inventory of microscopes from older, broken, and obsolete microscopes, to newer and more advanced microscopes that many PHS students will access through our science curriculum in multiple capacities from year to year.

Students from freshmen earth science to sophomore biology classes, and even upper-class electives like AP Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Forensic Science, Life Science, Marine, and Ocean Science will all benefit from the upgrade if awarded. STEM-related careers within our society have seen exponential growth, and I would like to work in collaboration with my fellow science teachers at PHS to provide them with the instruments that will allow us to instruct them and provide them with the skills to enter post-secondary schooling and/or a stem related field with hands-on experience using one of the major tools used in a variety of these STEM-related fields, the microscope.

In short, I am trying to enhance our microscope inventory within the PHS Science Department to newer and more effective microscopes needed across our science curriculum and grade levels.
