My Project
My fourth graders are curious scientists! We are studying many small organisms such as pill bugs, mealworms, and brine shrimp to learn about environments, physical features, and needs of living things. The microscopes I am requesting will help my students see the tiny structures of the organisms we are studying and be better able to understand how they function. For example, we learned in class that pill bugs are actually crustaceans and have gills on their bellies! They are so tiny that these microscopes will allow us to see this body structure properly. They are excited about life science and will thrive even more in their learning as they get a better look with these microscopes.
