This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
7th grade science class involves use of microscopes. Most of them in the classroom are broken and not all students get enough time trying to use them. Microscopes would be helpful to give all students opportunities to use and learn. They are important for student engagement, learning, and hands-on learning. Help my students obtain the experience.
The 1st lab students are supposed to perform is looking at their own cheek cells.
Learning is more effective when they are looking at their own body's cells, rather than looking at images online. It makes the learning relevant and interesting.
Please help me give my students an opportunity to use a microscope for science class since most of ours are broken.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
