Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a diverse range of seventh graders. I have students who require remediation as well as those who need enrichment.
My students are incredibly motivated and persistent in their learning, especially in science.
Even during these difficult times, it is my goal to provide top-quality instruction that will meet the needs of my diverse learners.
My Project
Microscopes will help my students to better understand the living environment. Having this project fully funded would enrich my students' learning experience and better enable them to learn about cells and practice the lab skills relating to microscope work. Most importantly, the project would allow them to practice real science which would motivate them throughout the biology unit.
In an era where college and career readiness is a prominent factor in the teaching and learning process, STEM education is becoming more and more important.
I know that my students will achieve greater learning outcomes, given access to 21st-century tools and content that will encourage them to think deeply about studying health and life science concepts.
