My Students
Science investigation requires the ability to explore. With microscopes, magnifying lenses and more, these tools enable them to gain deeper understanding by investigating things like soil, rocks, magnets, animals and more.
My school is a Title 1 school with students that do not necessarily have access to many resources in their home lives.
It is essential for me to provide opportunities for hands on experiences that give students better understanding of science throughout the curriculum.
My Project
These tools help students make observations, investigations and draw conclusions rather than just being told about subjects. Tools make science real and bring things to life to such a greater extent then books or even movies. For example, going out and collecting soil samples, analyzing them under microscopes and with hand lenses and stating findings in science journals is a much deeper lesson that brings a higher enrichment and engagement level.
For students to be able to succeed in life as well as academically, they need real-life experiences.
Science tools make this possible as well as stimulating higher order thinking skills that equip kids with the ability to accomplish their goals in school, in their community and in their lives.
