Microphones for The Jungle Book in Brooklyn, NY

My students need lavalier wireless microphones for the musical they will be presenting in June: Disney's The Jungle Book.

My Students

Help our theater performers be successful in their first ever school musical: The Jungle Book! The acoustics in our auditorium are horrendous, and we are worried that their voices will not be heard on the day of the performance. Please help us make the The Jungle Book a success!

Our students are so excited about performing in The Jungle Book, but the auditorium was not built with sound in mind.

It is connected to the lunchroom with a fake wall, and sound gets lost in there. These students come every Thursday and Friday, and stay for hours rehearsing their lines and their lyrics, but the overall concern among the teachers is that their work will go to waste because no one will hear them. We are located in New York City, and this theater program is keeping our kids on the right path, and exposing them to something totally new to them. They are loving every minute of it.

My Project

I'm requesting a set of eight wireless microphones that will be clipped to the principal characters in the musical: Bagheera, Baloo, Mowgli, Kaa, Shere Khan, The Coconut Tree/Shanti, Colonel Hathi, and King Louis. These resources will enable our students to perform their best without having to worry about shouting their lines. With your generous contribution, we will also be able to continue to have a theater program in our school.

This experience has been something incredibly different for our children, and we want them to be successful in the end.

Your help will make that extra difference. Hours and hours of work need to be heard. The school doesn't have enough in their budget to buy microphones, so I'm counting on the generosity of the person who is reading this to donate to our project.
