Help me give my students stepping stones, bee houses, and compost in order to produce microenvironments on our school yard.

My Project
Our school is in Milwaukee, WI. I work with 90 middle school students in the 7th and 8th grade. Together, we are upholding the Montessori Ideals of a Microeconomy through our occupations class called Garden Club. This is a great time for our students to experience starting a business from scratch, working on budgeting and marketing, and what to do when something fails.
We are working hard to create micro environments around the school yard.
We will do this by increasing the population of native plants and decreasing the amount of grass that has been planted.
The landscape fabric will help us to kill off the grass. The compost is to help encourage natural fungi and bacteria back into the soil. We are going to lay the stepping stones down in a path. The bee habitats are in order to increase native pollinators.
We are making this pathway for the school which is a k-12 school, so a huge range of students will get to enjoy it.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
