My Project
It is my dream to be able to show our school's grade 4 students the world of biology through the lenses of a microscope: our Title I school kids need to open up to the possibilities technology has made available to us to explore the microscopic world of our environment up to the tiniest parts it is made of.
Having a microscope would mean that students in 5, grade 4 groups would have access to daily new discoveries straight from their backyard or the school's grounds, without having to go all the way to a museum or a lab.
This would allow my colleagues and I to do more hands on activities and inspire our students to becoming future researchers. This is Part 2 of a previous project requesting a stereo microscope: while with the other one my students will be able to see macro organisms like insects and plants, with this microscope they will be able to observe and study bacteria, cells and the tiniest details of the environment around them.
