We are a close-knit, culturally-diverse, community school with just over 300 students, grades K-5. Many of our students come from a lower socioeconomic background.
I have the privilege of working with a remarkable group of learners.
These 4th and 5th graders are inquisitive, enthusiastic, and excited to learn about the world around them. All of my students bring a unique perspective to our classroom community and are encouraged to learn new things and to take on new challenges.
My goal as a teacher is to create a safe, positive, student-centered learning environment for ALL that enter my classroom. My students have a wide range of academic abilities and learning styles, and I strive to provide them with meaningful learning experiences each and every day
My Project
While we are lucky to have access to mobile Chromebook carts that are shared throughout our school, we have quickly come to realize that some tasks on a computer are very challenging without having the ability to use a mouse. Many of my students have difficulty navigating using the touchpad on the Chromebooks; especially within certain programs and applications in math, science and beyond.
My students need mice for our school computers, to enhance their experience with technology in our classroom and optimize student learning.
Computer mice would allow my students, particularly those who may struggle with fine motor skills, to have more control while using their Chromebooks.
