Metalshop Safety and Supplies

Help me give my students new safety gear and personal protective equipment as well as some replacement measurement tools they use frequently while working in the shop.

My Students

My students are CTE students in metalworking and manufacturing. They range from 9th-12th grade and are in a year course of study. Over the last two years, they have been dealing with COVID and they need their time to work in the lab and gain the hands-on skills they need for these courses.

My Project

These resources will be for students' safety when working in the metal shop. With more PPE, students will not have to share their equipment like we did before Covid and there will be fewer chances for transferring anything. Student safety is always a concern in the metal shop environment. They always need hearing protection and cut-resistant gloves are critical. Our students need to get the most time they can in the shop with hands-on learning because they did not get as much time over the last year and a half when they were distance or hybrid learning.
