Messy Learning is Fun Learning!

My students need a class set of art smocks to protect their clothes while getting messy with classroom learning activities, some paint, and paint trays.

My Students

I teach twenty four-year old preschoolers. My students and I, along with a wonderful assistant, work very hard throughout the school year to make sure that they are well prepared for Kindergarten. I teach in a public school that houses Pre-K through fifth-grade students. Three-fourths of my students come from moderate to low-income families.

The students in my classroom are excited about learning and also loves to explore through hands-on activities.

For most preschoolers, the messier the better! They enjoy experimenting with different types of materials and create whatever their imagination will allow.

My Project

After my assistant and I cut out head and arm holes from 20 trash bags in order to protect our students' clothes from a shaving cream learning activity we realized the need to have a class set of smocks for our students.

Preschoolers love learning and getting messy so in my classroom I try to provide fun and messy learning experiences.

We need a class set of smocks so that I don't have to worry about sending students home after a fun day of learning with paint covered clothes. Of course our little ones love to give lots of hugs throughout the day and having access to teacher smocks to will allow us to enjoy those sweet hugs without going home wearing red or blue handprints. My students love to paint every chance that they can get and with paint trays we can provide several students with access to the paint at once.
