This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an incredible bunch of kids! They are in Spanish dual immersion program at a low-income school in the Bay Area. This program allows for non-Spanish speakers to immerse themselves and acquire Spanish, while also appreciating the diverse cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. These kids are true adventurers! They learn by experiencing the world around them!

These students love coming to school and look forward to the stability as well as the meaningful relationships my classroom community offers them.

They are kindhearted, and care for each other in so many ways. They deserve the best education I can give them.

My Project

I can't wait to surprise my students with this collection of GLOW in the dark materials so that we can experience GLOW in the DARK FRIDAY FUN.

This the light-up Jenga tower will be the showstopper game of Glow in the Dark Friday Fun and the light-up/glow-in-the-dark jewelry will be a reward that my students will wear during Friday Fun and then take home.

Our GLOW in the DARK Friday Fun will be so much fun!

Our school uses Positive Behavior Intervention Supports to encourage our students to have expected classroom behaviors. Having glow-in-the-dark materials and exciting Friday FUN activities is a wonderful classroom reward. My students will earn the glow-in-the-dark jewelry with their decisions to have expected classroom behavior. I praise their good behavior and they feel good about themselves. The praise I give them improves their self-confidence and they feel good about the decisions they are making. In turn, they will continue to make good choices and will be super excited about Reward Time during Friday Fun! The rewards they earn for their good decisions make them feel special and getting this super cool glow-in-the-dark jewelry will make them happy.

I also want a Magnetic Marble Maze that my students can affix to the whiteboard and create mazes in which the marbles drop, turn and fall. It will be so exciting to see the designs they make and they will have fun playing Marble Maze during Friday Fun.

I can't wait for them to go home and tell their family and friends about our GLOW in the DARK Friday Fun and talk about our Light Up Jenga and cool Magnetic Marble Maze! Thank you for supporting my fundraiser and thank you for caring about my students.
