My Students

My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth-grade school located in rural California. It serves 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.

I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.

My Project

I am requesting Christmas books, wrapping supplies, and Christmas craft kits.

The books will be used in our classroom for free time reading and mentor text.

Students will read the books and take Accelerated Reader tests on the books. My classroom was lost in a school fire a few years ago and I still don't have all my books replaced. This year my focus is to get more holiday stories. A few of the books like the Magic Tree House will be used as gifts for students for Christmas. I would like all students to go home before the break with a new book in hand.

The crafts are to create ornaments for my student to gift to their families. The paper is for my students to wrap their gifts. They will get to enjoy the thrill of giving a present.
