My Project
Reading is the foundation of all learning, and my students need high-quality mentor texts to strengthen their comprehension skills. I am requesting engaging books like The Mysterious Benedict Society, the Sir Cumference series, and other rich literature that will help my students analyze theme, main idea, and key details. These books not only capture students’ interest but also challenge them to think critically, make inferences, and draw connections across texts.
By incorporating these mentor texts into our daily lessons, I will be able to model strong reading strategies through read-alouds, facilitate meaningful discussions in small groups, and provide opportunities for independent practice.
Books like The Mysterious Benedict Society will encourage problem-solving and perseverance, while the Sir Cumference series will integrate math concepts into literacy in a fun and engaging way.
