My Project

My 6th grade students are full of energy, creativity, and potential. Every day, they walk into the classroom with curious minds, eager to learn, and ready to engage with the world around them. They inspire me with their resilience, their diverse perspectives, and their ability to work together to solve problems. I am always amazed by the way they persevere through challenges and support one another along the way. They are a truly special group, and it’s my mission to make sure they feel valued and have the resources they need to thrive.

Creating a classroom environment that promotes both learning and mental well-being is crucial.

Items like a printer allow me to provide students with materials they can easily access, cutting down on unnecessary stress during lessons. Having erasable pens in the classroom gives students the confidence to make mistakes and learn from them without the fear of permanence, encouraging a growth mindset. Laser pointers help me guide focus in lessons and add a bit of fun to our instruction, keeping attention high and making lessons more dynamic. Finally, classroom buzzers are an interactive tool for team games, promoting positive competition and collaboration that makes learning exciting and enjoyable for everyone.

These small additions to our classroom would not only make lessons more engaging but also alleviate some of the stress that both my students and I experience on a daily basis. When students feel supported with the right tools, they can focus on what really matters—learning, growing, and enjoying the process. And as a teacher, being able to enhance our classroom environment also improves my mental health, allowing me to continue giving my best to the students I care about so deeply.
