Mental Health Garden

Help me give my students the ability to relax and enjoy the sanctity of gardening as well as enjoy the fruits of their labor after their harvest.

My Project

This project will provide a Hydroponic Grow Kit, gloves, a hose, a weed barrier, and seeds to revitalize the school garden at our school. The garden was in disrepair after the pandemic and had been overgrown. The district grounds crew was able to clear the debris over the summer and we are working towards rebuilding a bigger and better garden.

The garden will serve as a relaxing oasis for students to enjoy before/after school as well as an outdoor classroom space to enhance learning in an authentic fashion.

Through the gardening club on campus's outreach efforts, we are hoping to engage the whole school in the growing of local produce and native plants. Please help us create a safe space for relaxation and improve our mental health while growing delicious food!
