This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The mental health and well-being of our students begins with giving them the choice of how to express themselves. This starts with giving them the opportunity to select the writing implement they want to use. Is it pen, is it pencil? Which color?

Mental health is all about being comfortable with, and being able to express who you truly are.

Something as simple as the choice of a pen, pencil, or highlighter really makes all the difference in the life of a teenager. This also has a monumental impact on their learning. When a student is proud of themselves during the learning process, then they start to produce more and they ultimately make the best progress they can.
