My Project

This week our school learned of the suicide of one of our 4.0 scholars who did not show up for her senior year. A staff member commented that often we focus on the students with bad grades and the ones with good grades don't get the attention. Really all of our students need mental health support, attention, and encouragement.

Help me update our library collection of books on mental health, suicide, loss, and financial literacy.

Students are asking and teachers as well - for books that can help them deal with the very real challenges of life like loss, career challenges, and finance. Our students today are facing such a different world and job market than their teacher. In the library, I want to build a collection that reflects the concerns of our staff and students.
