This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing tampons and pads for high school students is crucial for their education and well-being. Without access to these items, students might experience discomfort, distraction, and even miss school, which can affect their learning and participation. By supplying these products, we help remove these barriers, allowing students to stay focused and engaged in their studies while also reducing stigma around menstruation.
The goals of this project are to ensure all students have access to menstrual products, decrease school absences related to menstrual issues, and create a more supportive and inclusive school environment.
We also aim to raise awareness and foster open conversations about menstruation to reduce stigma and educate everyone involved.
Our students are unique because they come from diverse backgrounds and are at a critical point in their personal and academic development. By addressing their needs with this project, we support their growth and ensure they feel valued and understood in their educational journey.
