it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the privilege of supporting my unique and inspiring students. My students have overcome many challenges in their young lives, and many are learning English as a second language. Most of my students have experienced poverty, trauma, and emotional difficulties. Many are refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers.
In our school, our girls are from families where gender inequality, cultural taboos, and poverty cause menstrual health needs to go unmet.
Our girls are unfamiliar with menstrual health and hygiene interventions, and your support can help them overcome these obstacles. Your contribution to this donor's choose will help me implement an interactive lesson with tools on the importance of girls regardless of culture. They will learn how to protect their dignity and build confidence while bridging the gap between attendance and menstruation. We often realize our female students miss school monthly, surrounding their menstruation.
