My Students
Middle Schoolers here at EW are truly special. They come from all over a large city to form a small inner-city community of their own. They love the building in which they work every day and enjoy seeing their teachers and classmates.
One of the most astounding attributes of our students is that they are completely inclusive of all children who come to our school.
I have seen peers go out of their way to make sure others feel included in any activity that may be going on in our building. They work together to foster ideas and incentives during the Advisory time each morning.
I'm proud to work with the students in our building and they have earned a tremendous amount of respect from our community.
My Project
Making memories and Mindful Calming Jars will promote the Social Emotional Learning we strive for every day in our classroom. Holidays are tough for many students, for many reasons.
Providing my students with this creative outlet will not only serve as a Mindful Resource, but also as a gift to give to the people who they love.
Glitter Jars are great tools for students to use to reset and restore their brains. The camera for our room will be used to create special gift tags to tie to their creations.
