My Project

My students represent an amazing wealth of cultures, languages, and history. Many need a vast array of language supports and many are refugee families.

Their families are amazingly supportive and are very involved in their child's education.

My classroom is comprised of mostly second language learners. My students work so hard and are super excited to learn. We are a Title I school in a community where parents opt to come to our school because they want the best for their children. Some sensory items for a calm down corner because some of the students are filled with anxiety coming to school with little language skills.

Our school is like a home away from home, as it is a K-12 charter school and you can often see siblings and family members all around, which gives everyone a sense of an extended family.

I love it!

My Project

My kids didn't attend preschool, and my amazing 23 kindergarten kids need to learn to take turns, share and wait. I chose puzzles and teamwork activities that are of high-level interest to teach them turn taking, cooperation, speaking and listening to English and how to interact with one another. Our standards have a lot of social expectations, and these activities are sturdy and help them attain these skills all while having fun. These are all amazing tools to help them work together and be kind, take their turn and learn to work together. These are standards for kindergarten these puzzles will help them attain these essential life skills. Please consider helping get them Melissa and Doug items to learn turn taking and kindness, waiting and wanting, learning and loving. These are all essential life skills and when they want something, they can work together!
