My Project
Our students are coming to school to learn, and they don't need any additional barriers. Being able to provide snacks and basic hygiene products for our students is one step towards eliminating their barriers.
Imagine trying to sit in class when your stomach is growling, or being too embarrassed to come to school because your family ran out of money for hygiene products.
Our middle schoolers are going through a difficult transition in life, and our goal is to help in any way we can!
The majority of our students who visit the health room complain of upset stomachs, lightheadedness, etc., and when asked if they have eaten anything today, they say no. Rather than sending them home and not being able to access their education, with the help of these resources, they just need a few minutes to have a snack, refocus, and then head back to class!
