Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students try their best to navigate their emotions and make every effort to close the gap their learning disabilities create.
My goal with this project is to create welcoming spaces within my classroom to encourage learning and trying new things for students who are fearful of trying to do so in their general education classrooms.
This will be done with the use of flexible seating options and a classroom rug. In addition, having an accessible rug cleaned will help allow students to feel comfortable in the space that I have created for them to regulate their emotions. The laminating sheets will allow for the reuse of very impactful resources that are printed.
Please help me encourage students to find a love for reading and learning through these various items. My students are special in many different ways. They come into my classroom always excited to learn.
