This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an amazing group of 1st grade students in a self-contained classroom, where each child brings unique strengths, challenges, and sensory needs. Many of my students benefit from sensory supports to help them stay focused, calm, and ready to learn throughout the day.

Sensory items like fidget tools, flexible seating, and sensory items for our sensory area aren’t just helpful — they are essential for my students' success.

These tools help reduce anxiety, improve attention, and support emotional regulation, which in turn allows my students to fully engage in learning activities.

With your support, I can create a classroom environment that meets my students’ sensory needs and helps them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your donation will make a direct impact on their ability to learn, grow, and feel safe and supported at school.
