My Students
My students come from all walks of life: various races, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds. It's truly a melting pot here, and we nurture a culture of respect, equality, and kindness for our school family. Every morning, we start our day with the mantra: "I am Kind, I am Smart, I am Important."
My Project
I am so excited to see all the happy faces of our 3rd graders this school year. I make the classroom bright and inviting with their classwork, posters, and more. What I need to make the classroom complete is a warm, inviting rug for the meeting area. Currently I don't have a meeting area rug!
It's vital that they have a bright, soft space this year to meet, read, collaborate, and learn.
Last year was challenging, and kids were not able to be in groups on the rug. I work to build a classroom community, and having a welcoming meeting place is important to help the kids feel comfortable.
The rug I chose is colorful, durable, and welcoming. Please contribute to help our children have a new rug for their learning and comfort.
