Help me give my students reading resources such as Phonemic Awareness Instant Learning set and the Touch and Read Phonics Match. With students on different reading levels, these would be great resources for my classroom.
All of my students are amazing and different in so many ways. In the last 2 years Covid has deeply impacted students learning. It is challenging having so many students that have fallen below grade level. As a teacher of third grade, I find myself teaching students phonemic awareness skills that should have been learned in kindergarten and mastered by first grade. With 23 students in my class and many on different reading levels, I have to find different ways to make sure that I am able to meet each student's needs. Some might be on a first grade reading level, and others on second or third grade levels. I want to have the best learning and reading resources to help each student individually meet their needs on their personal level.
The last two years have been so challenging, not only on teachers but the students.
It is my job as a teacher to provide them with the best learning resources and materials to help them grow and get to their grade level.
My Project
I have a full class of 23 third graders this year. Many of my students are on different reading levels. I do my best at finding unique and fun ways to meet each of their needs and their reading levels.
The Phonemic Awareness Instant Learning set would be a wonderful resource for my classroom.
I have some students that are still learning to read and still in the process of learning the basic skills needed when starting to read. This resource could be used at my table with a small group or I can place it at a table for a reading center and they can work with it independently.
The Roll and Read Phonics Game would be so much fun for my students. They would be learning and having fun. I want them to enjoy the learning process and be able to make it fun for them. They will continue wanting to learn. This game is for every learner. It can be made a little easier for those students still learning to sound out the letters and vowel sounds, or you can use the blends and digraphs game for the students that are on a higher reading level.
I know these resources would be amazing to have in my classroom. They would help by giving me a variety of games and resources to use with my students to help meet each of their individualized reading needs.
