Help me give my students my students a classroom carpet that fits all of us! A place to gather for learning and growing TOGETHER!

My Students

Take a walk into my classroom and you will see 19 of the most eager, intelligent, first graders you could ever imagine!

My students are curious, active, and always keep me on my toes!

They love learning and always give me their all. Most importantly we are a family and we always take care of each other. No matter the circumstances we know that we are better together! As their teacher I strive to make learning intentional but FUN! I want school to be the place to be - not the place kids have to be!

My Project

Without a place that all of my students can gather together, my mission of creating a strong and unified classroom community is negated. When my class gathers for morning meetings or learning activities it is difficult to engage all of my students because there is not enough space for them to fit.

James Comer said, "No significant learning can occur without a significant relationship".

We need a meeting space that allows all of my students an area to feel welcomed and comfortable. As my students grow physically and academically this carpet will support our mission of inclusiveness, teamwork, and community.
