My Project
Health Science students need every opportunity available to learn from real life hands on experiences. Our health Science students are introduced to Medical Charting as their first experience in the class. Students are taught to take the standard vital signs on a patient and make a general patient assessment as would happen in a clinic or healthcare facility and then record their finding on a medical chart sheet. My students need the experience in seeing the chart in color and charting on a color document.
As the facilitator in the class it is important to provide the most effective way to teach a necessary skill.
