Our campus has a need for a media studio for our project-based learning. One of our schools is an Expeditionary Learning School, which means that students create dynamic presentations of learning in order to demonstrate mastery of skills and standards. This means that a need for a multimedia studio has arisen.
Our students need access to a recording studio in order to have an authentic demonstration of their learning.
Included in this project are the materials to soundproof the walls of one room, chromakey paint to create a green screen, two microphones, and the various tools for installation. While this is admittedly only the beginning of what a full multimedia studio would need, it is also exactly the tools to get us started! These tools will also afford our students the ability to record music and performances.
