This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am the Math and Science Coordinator at my school working directly with students in both areas. I am setting up a Math Wizards Program at my school with all stakeholders in order to encourage school-wide competence in basic math facts, as well as critical thinking computation at each grade level.
By providing math medals, we will encourage buy-in and support from parents who love it when their children earn recognition.
Proud students will wear their medals with honor knowing they worked hard for the achievement. In addition, I have requested math and science incentives for students who are working on tasks and trying their best. I also want to incentivize children who are giving great efforts and improving.
By funding this project, you will ensure that students are motivated and really creating progress schoolwide.
