Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting board games to be used during our Mentor Mondays! During this time, staff interacts with students to provide additional supports such as self-regulation, positive peer interactions, and set the tone for the rest of the week. These board games will help improve social skills, self-control, and motivation. By incorporating engaging, cooperative games into the school week, we aim to set a positive tone that foster's emotional regulation, teamwork, and constructive peer interactions.
The students are amazing and have been identified as needing additional behavioral support.
We hope to continue to develop problem- solving and conflict-resolution skills while improving the focus and behavior for the school day and week ahead.
