My Project
The majority of my students live in poverty and receive free or reduced lunch. Some of them are English learners. With your support and your donation, my students will receive a more engaging experience which will result in overall student success.
Dry erase markers make for a safe learning environment, where my struggling students that want everything to be perfect are more willing to make mistakes.
Student disabilities range from specific learning disabilities, intellectual disability, speech and language disability, hearing impairments, other health impairments, orthopedic impairments, auditory processing deficits, fine/gross motor needs, physical therapy needs, occupational therapy needs to autism. The students I work with are in 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade.
"It takes a village to support one student!" Our students face challenges of culture, poverty, and language each and every day.
My students have deficits in reading, writing, math and everyday life skills. They require instruction and constant modeling for them to learn necessary foundational skills across subjects (eg. math, word decoding, reading fluency, letter-sounds, syllabication, etc.), social skills, and functional skills that will help them be successful in life.
