Meaningful Manipulatives for Mastery of Independence

My Project

I have the most amazing job in the world! I teach a special class of 17 - 21 year olds in a special education school. Our school is specifically designed to reach students throughout the seven districts of the county for individuals who can learn better in a special setting.

This project will give my students meaningful manipulatives that will help foster mastery and independence in their lives.

Students that are reached through this project are on various levels of ability, so there are multiple levels of learning tools needed.

My students will be able to learn to sort by color, size, and shape. They will learn how to use an ATM machine and count money. Some students have vision issues so items with tactile differences are important to their learning. Fine motor activities are especially helpful.

We are forever grateful for any support/donation that you can give to our class.
