Help me give my students access to We the People resources for our project-based action civics curriculum!

My Students
I serve as an 8th grade civics teacher in a pre-K through 8 public school. Over 50% of our children are economically disadvantaged (nearly double the statewide average) and 22% are identified as “students with disabilities”, four percentage points higher than the state average.
I believe our young people are the now generation, not the next generation, and I'm committed to providing authentic and meaningful learning opportunities for all.
This is especially important in my city where our schools educate children from more than 60 countries. The ideals enshrined in the Declaration of Independence unite us, whether a family has been part of the fabric of our city for five generations or in the United States for just five weeks.
We don't just learn about civics, we engage in it. For example my students have advocated for a hands-free driving bill, fought to increase state funding for suicide awareness and prevention training in schools, filed legislation to restrict the sale of flavored vape products, and produced a student podcast series on landmark Supreme Court cases. Their efforts have been recognized with the Civics Action Award (2017) and the top Classroom Changemaker Award (2018).
My Project
My civics class is like driver's education or a vocational high school experience. We explore civics content in our classroom setting and we go out and engage in it. Students build consensus around local issues and they work with community partners and our elected officials to address them.
When students have access to excellent resources and authentic learning opportunities they soar.
I am ordering the We the People class set from the Center for Civic Education. Well-known and widely respected, their curriculum resources are engaging and accessible. The text is discussion based and well organized. It is also designed to make content relevant to students' lives, which supports the action civics work we do. This is not a traditional textbook, it's a resource we will use for our hands-on project-based learning.
